As an avid athlete all her life, with a deep desire and fascination with the mechanics of the human body, Mandy spent her formative years in Post Secondary Education in the faculty of Science, and eventually gravitated towards and graduated from Physical Fitness Training at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. For the first five years of her Personal Fitness Training career, she had the privilege of working at some of the top private training studios in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and worked with many affluent clients, including amateur and professional athletes. It was also during these formative years in her career that she began exploring new methods and practices to engage her clients in, as she thirsted for creating the optimal fulfilling experience for each and every body. She became a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher as well as a Stott Pilates Instructor, and often incorporated alternative and integrative health concepts into her programs. After only six years in the industry, she was forced to take time off as she prepared to have her first child.
During this time, Mandy was able to evaluate all aspects of her life, including her chosen career path and had the awareness that returning into the same environment was not something that she was prepared to do. She began searching for new ideas and new methods that she could immerse herself in that would, in the end, allow her to create a deeper level of support, understanding and commitment to her own health as well as all others. Within two years, she held certifications in Homeopathy, Iridology and Herbalism, and began consulting with individuals that required assistance with physical health concerns. And, once again, reaching for more, she began exploring beyond the walls of our “standard” Holistic Health measures, and eventually found herself at the root of all healing systems, Ayurveda. And, four years later, under the curriculum and guidance of Dr. Deepak Chopra, she completed the Vedic Masters Program at the Chopra Center in San Diego, California.
"I've really come full circle and have found myself stepping back into the arena of athletic and physical development. This is very exciting for me to be able to share an integrated and expanded approach that blends beautifully with traditional training programs.
